Heirloom Remakes

Do you have a family heirloom you want to make your own? Or perhaps you have a few loose stones or fine metals hiding in your drawer?

Sometimes you want to bring freshness into old pieces—while maintaining their sentimental value.

With our custom remakes, we work with a little of what you have and incorporate our high-quality materials where needed.

The end result is a one-of-kind piece—the perfect blend of old and new.

Bespoke Jewellery Design

Our bespoke pieces are meant to bring your ideas to life. Through collaborative conversations, we work with you to create a piece that holds the meaning and sentiment you seek.

You’ll explore our private collection of ethically sourced gems and fine metals while we guide you through the design process.

We’ll work on channelling the feelings you want to evoke and the unique personality of the person who will wear the piece.

: We love inspiration! If you’ve seen jewellery you love online, please show us and let us know what you like about it. This is a great way to identify the elements you want, whether it's the style and colour of the stone or the type of setting.

That said, we will not copy someone else's work. If you're looking to replicate exactly what you see online, we encourage you to find the creator of it and order from them.
: There are many variables at play when it comes to custom jewellery. The type and size of the stones are the biggest contributing factor, but custom rings generally start at $2000. That said, without knowing the materials, this is very hard to predict. Once we have our initial consultation and we know what materials and stones we're working with, you will be provided with a quote before we begin any work.
: Much like fully custom jewellery, a remake is hard to quote before we know what we are working with and what we are turning it into. Once we have our initial consultation, we will provide you with a quote before beginning any work. Remakes generally start at $1000.
: Please allow 6-8 weeks to complete your piece. If you need your project completed on a faster timeline, we may be able to accommodate you, but this needs to be clearly communicated to us in the initial consultation. If we are sourcing a rare/unique gem, the process may take longer. We will let you know in the beginning if we think your stone might take a while to track down.
: Yes! While our focus is custom rings, we can certainly create other types of custom jewellery such as earrings, bangles, and pendants. If you have an idea for a custom piece, please reach out and we’ll see if we’re a match.
: Generally, no. Unless the chain was handmade, it typically has too much solder contamination for us to use.
: White gold is tricky. If there is any nickel in the alloy, it doesn't like to be reworked. It becomes brittle like pie crust that you can't roll out. We have had both success and failure with reusing white gold. If we agree to try and use it, it must be clearly understood that your piece may be melted down and then not be usable. If that is a risk you are willing to take, we can try.

Ready to start your dream project?

1. Contact us to book a 30-minute consult using the calendly link below. A $50 deposit is required at the time of booking. This will be applied as a credit towards your custom piece.

If you don't have paypal, please email us : info@katcadegan.com and we will send you an invoice to pay online or via e-transfer.

2. Once we have a time booked, we’ll ask you to bring your design ideas, inspiration, and dreams to our call/meeting. This will allow us to lay a solid foundation for your vision.

3. Based on this, we’ll provide a quote and a timeline.

4. You’ll receive your custom piece in 6-8 weeks.
